ﾑCity of Shipsﾒ Filmed during 1938 and 1939, this celebrated documentary was commissioned as a new and more up-to-date film for publicity and Educational purposes. It provides a stylish and beautifully filmed account of Londons docks at work prior to the outbreak of World War 2. ﾑSweet Thamesﾒ is a rare 16mm colour film from 1968 exploring the pollution on the Thames. The film includes a visit to Kew treatment works. ﾑLondon River & Docksﾒ is a rare silent film from Pathe and British Instructional Films and looks at the many diverse ships working the Thames. ﾑPola Fen Londonﾒ is the telegraphic address of the Port of London Authority. This glorious colour film takes you on a trip down river on board a POLA launch, stopping off to look at the docks and activities enroute. ﾑPort of London 1924ﾒ is a gem of a silent film which includes aerial film of Thames Haven, Tilbury, the Royal Victoria & Albert Docks and the King George V docks- probablyﾠ the earliest film record of its kind. Other highlights include rare film of ocean going liners of the era.
